EVH has WAY more distortion overall (and a much better clean channel). WebJan 6, 2024 · I had a MT-15, and it's a wicked little tone beast. That being said, my EVH 50 watt sent it packing. It's got a better master for low volumes, and at higher volumes it's just bigger and badder, plain and simple. WebSep 17, 2024 · I've never had a Marshall and want one. I have an old Peavey Classic 50 head, an EVH 5150 50w 6L6 head going through a 2x12 and a 100w Katana for practice. I like the EVH, but not wowed by it. I had actually also tried out the EVH EL34, and I liked the clean tone better, but the other channels felt stiff.
